Since more than 10 years, Burkina Faso is committed to the effort of giving access to formal and non-formal basic education to the majority of its population through two successive national plans, of which the Basic Education Sector Programme covering the period 2012-2021.
BKF/022 has two components:
• A contribution to the Support Fund to the Development of Basic Education, through payments to the Special Account (CAST);
• Support the Strategic Plan for Capacity Building (PSRC) of the Ministry of National Education and Literacy (MENA).
This will include the provision of a facilitator who will be attached to the General Secretariat of MENA, which coordinates the implementation of the strategic plan. In addition to the facilitator, the programme provides specific support in the sectors of Literacy and Non-formal Education on the one hand as well as Governance and Decentralization on the other.
