Mid-term evaluation
The Swiss Confederation, through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) who is in charge of international cooperation, is financing this programme implemented by LuxDev. Its objective is: "To contribute to increasing the productivity and the value of the production of agropastoral enterprises and family farms in the Sikasso Region". The targeted value chains are local milk and potatoes.
The implementation strategy combines, on the one hand, the commitmment to work within the framework of decentralisation, in particular through a financing modality which is a decentralised sector budget support at the level of local authorities, and, on the other hand, the enhancement of links and complementarities between a modern private sector, professional organisations and Government services.
Given its support and innovations in all the links of the value chains, the programme contributes to a sustainable organisation of production processes, so as to satisfy a large proportion of local and international West African consumers.
